GORGEOUS HIKE (WITH LADYBUGS!)

Ladybugs are basically the only insect I don't find totally creepy. (Even butterflies. But that's a different conversation.) The Redwood Regional Park is littered with ladybugs. Seriously. Try to imagine so many ladybugs. Now quadruple whatever you're thinking and it's still not as many as you'll see here.

I've hiked this spot with girlfriends and was in awe of all the little red-orange bugs crawling over one area of the park. Once you get into the actual hilly hike they aren't visible anymore, but the easy walk in has so many, so it's great if you want to bring kids instead of doing a decently strenuous hike. And, as evidenced by this photo, the forested views are to die.
